Top Beaches Around the World You Should Visit Once

So, okay, not everyone is a “beach person” but honestly, if you visit the right one — you’ll get it. There’s just something about that warm breeze, soft sand between your toes, and the sound of waves doing their thing. It’s like therapy but way better and probably cheaper if you’re smart about it.

If you’ve never been to a beach that literally makes your jaw drop, then this list is for you. These are some of the top beaches around the world that you really gotta see at least once in your life. Just once, trust me.

1. Whitehaven Beach – Australia

This beach is… wow. It’s got white sand that’s almost like powder. Like, it’s really white — not even joking, it looks fake sometimes. And the water is super clear, like see-your-feet clear. Not many people go there unless they plan for it cuz it’s a bit out of the way, but that just makes it more peaceful.

You can go up to this place called Hill Inlet and see the beach from above — the view is kinda insane.

2. Navagio Beach – Greece (aka Shipwreck Beach)

First of all, yes — there’s an actual shipwreck sitting on the sand here. Just chillin’. The beach is surrounded by big cliffs on all sides and you can only get there by boat. Which makes it even cooler honestly.

Also the water? So blue it doesn’t even look real. Like someone turned the saturation all the way up.

3. Anse Source d’Argent – Seychelles

Can’t lie, I still don’t know how to pronounce this name correctly but who cares. The beach is gorgeous. Big rock things (I think they’re granite?) all over the place, with palm trees and shallow water. It’s like someone designed it just for postcards.

It’s small, but soooo pretty. You won’t wanna leave.

4. Grace Bay – Turks and Caicos

This beach is underrated. It’s not super famous like Hawaii or Bali but honestly it should be. The sand is soft, water’s clear and calm, and not a lot of crowd (at least when I looked it up lol).

If you just wanna relax and not think too much, this is the place.

5. Baía do Sancho – Brazil

I saw pics of this place and was like ??! why isn’t this talked about more?? It’s kind of hard to reach — like you literally go down some stairs through rocks — but once you get down there, you’re in paradise.

Waves, wildlife, soft sand, and sometimes dolphins just vibing in the water. Wild.

6. Maya Bay – Thailand

Yup, the one from The Beach movie with Leonardo DiCaprio. It got SUPER popular after that and got kinda too crowded. They had to close it for a while to protect it, but it’s open again now (with rules tho).

Still, the view is unreal. Water looks like a painting. Can’t swim here long because of restrictions but just seeing it is worth it.

7. Lanikai Beach – Hawaii

If you ever go to Hawaii, make sure this one’s on your list. It’s not the biggest beach, but it’s sooo chill. Clean water, perfect sand, and these two little islands in the distance that make the view even better.

People kayak here a lot, or just float around and forget all their problems.

8. El Nido – Philippines

This place is such a vibe. It’s not just one beach either, it’s a bunch of islands with crazy cool spots all around. You can go island hopping all day — secret beaches, lagoons, cliff jumps, the whole deal.

Also way more affordable than other tropical places. Backpacker heaven.

9. Matira Beach – Bora Bora

This one’s more of a dream destination tbh. Bora Bora in general is expensive but if you get the chance, just do it. Matira is a public beach and you don’t have to stay in a fancy overwater villa to enjoy it.

Softest sand ever. Like walking on baby powder. Water’s so calm you can just float for hours.

10. Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach – Iceland

So this beach is not for swimming or tanning lol. It’s cold. It’s dramatic. And it’s black — like actual black sand. Super wild looking waves and weird rock formations everywhere.

Feels like something out of a fantasy movie. You just stand there and go, “whoa.”

A Few Other Cool Beaches (honestly couldn’t leave them out)

  • Pink Sands Beach – The sand is literally pink. Like actually.

  • Playa del Amor (Hidden Beach) – It’s like in a hole?? You have to swim through a tunnel to get there.

  • Seven Mile Beach – In Jamaica. Laid back vibes, reggae music, good food.

  • Diani Beach – In Kenya, it’s calm, beautiful and not packed with tourists.

Final Words (before you book your ticket… or at least dream)

There’s something about beaches that just fixes everything. Doesn’t matter if you’re there with your best friends, family, partner or just solo – beach time heals.

You don’t need to be rich to experience it either. Even if you can’t go to Bora Bora this year, maybe you can save up for Thailand or El Nido. Or just plan ahead for later.

The main thing is — don’t sleep on these places. Life’s too short to stay away from the ocean forever.

So yeah… pack your flip-flops, your sunscreen, and your good vibes. One of these beaches is waiting for you.
